Retention & Well Being

There is a job retention and a medical rehabilitation policy in place and external organisations are used to assist with the retention of employees who have acquired a disability. The medical rehabilitation programme involves medical co-ordination, counselling, physiotherapy, other therapies, and access to specialist advice as needed. There are five regional welfare officers to assist in the return to work. Adaptations are made based on the individual needs of the person returning to work. The Employee Assistance Programme is available to all employees and their families. There is a very particular programme that assists family members who are survivors of suicide. They run a Positive 2 Work programme and take part in the Equal at Work Programme.
