Customer Service

Customer Service involves making a commitment to learning what the customers' needs and wants are, and developing action plans that implement both internal and external customer-friendly policies and processes. This could include disability awareness training for staff, an accessible environment, an employee suggestion scheme. Internal Customer Service is the service that is provided to fellow employees and other departments within an organisation. A best practice organisation should demonstrate a commitment to consult with people with disabilities as expert consumers of products and services. The availability of products and services needs to be communicated to customers with a disability, and advertising and other images should reflect this diverse customer base.
